Welcome to The Drawing Board! Since 2021, we’ve been serving up the best smash burgers in St. Louis alongside unique comfort food creations from our kitchen. We’ve also got an extensive list of beers, wine, and spirits, both full-flavored and non-alcoholic.
We pride ourselves on friendly service and providing the perfect environment to grab a drink and a bite to eat! Come in to meet with a friend, a group, or a stranger. We’ve got free billiards, darts, ring toss, and coloring books for your entertainment. We’ve got the big games on TV—Blues, Cardinals, St. Louis City SC, and more. When there aren’t any big games, we’ve got Bob Ross and cat videos. We also host trivia, karaoke, live music and more!

Where to find The Drawing Board
The Drawing Board is located at 4123 Chippewa Street in the Tower Grove South neighborhood near the intersection of Chippewa and Gravois. Parking is available on the east side of the building as well as along Chippewa and around the corner on Oak Hill.
Great atmosphere and service. They have a limited but diverse beer and beverage selection. The cocktails are made with attention. And if you're hungry (or even if you aren't), the food is not too be missed. Creative top notch selection of bay snacks and sandwiches. It's very laid back with live music almost every night and lots of recreational fun - pool, darts, games, etc. And then they also have a comfortable outdoor patio in the back, where you can bring your dog.

One of South City’s hidden gems! The Drawing Board has quickly become one of my go-to spots. The staff is incredibly friendly and always makes you feel welcome — they really go out of their way to accommodate you. The smash burgers are top notch — easily some of the best in the St. Louis.
They’ve got a great beer selection with something for everyone, whether you’re into craft brews or just want a cold classic. On top of that, they offer a variety of games to enjoy, including free pool, which is a huge bonus. It’s got that perfect neighborhood bar vibe with great food, drinks, and people. Highly recommend checking it out!
Honestly, this place is awesome. The bartenders and owner are super sweet, they cater to local music, and the food is excellent! Just a haven for a good time and damn, isn't that what we need?
The service, the food, and the patio were all wonderful. The burger was the best I’ve had since The Damn on Morganford closed. Sidewinder fries were perfect. Between a fry and a chip💚 Dude even the brussel sprouts were delightful. Great patio area as well. Will be back for a another burger very soon.
Love, love, love this place! Such a cool atmosphere. Great little outdoor space in back. We really enjoyed it! And the food….AMAZING! Who knew???? You will not find a better burger in the STL!
FINALLY! Somewhere in St. Louis knows how to make a burger right. This is seriously the best burger and fries the city has to offer, and their menu is appropriately priced. I was also pleasantly surprised they carry Delirium Tremens. They have a super laid back atmosphere to boot - play some pool while you're there! Definitely don't sleep on The Drawing Board.
One of the best burgers you will ever have, no matter which one you choose, and their snacks and side are amazing. All of the bartenders are fun as well. The drawing board is definitely a go-to place for me.
The Atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. We had their special, the chili fries. It was AMAZING! The chili was a little on the spicy side for my taste buds BUT with shredded cheese and sour cream 😋 it was perfect! And I LOVE their fries. As seen in my picture, we got one order and asked to split it into two. What you see on the picture is one order for only $8. We will definitely be back for more.
Great place to hang out and play pool. The drawing board has a very welcoming environment. My son was getting hassled one night by a guy because he is gay, the owner and bartender took care of the situation right away. Great food also!
